What the app collects
DrMaco the macOS app runs entirely on your Mac. It does not phone home, does not run analytics, and does not track your usage. The only network calls it makes are: (1) a daily check against a small JSON manifest to see if a newer version exists, and (2) — only if you choose to activate a Pro license — a request to verify that license against our license server.
What the customer portal collects
To create a Pro account you provide your name, email address and password. We use Supabase to store this account data and to authenticate you. Your license is linked to a hardware identifier from your Mac (IOPlatformUUID) purely to prevent one license being shared across unrelated machines — this identifier is not used for tracking or advertising.
Payments
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. DrMaco never sees or stores your card details — Stripe handles that directly and shares back only what's needed to activate your subscription (plan, status, renewal date).
Bot protection
The login and registration forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated abuse. Turnstile may process a small amount of technical device information under Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your account data, ask us to correct it, or delete your account entirely at any time from the customer portal or by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your license and personal data from our systems.
